Easy healthy chocolate chip muffins recipe

These muffins are super easy to make, as they only require you to use one bowl and can be made in less than an hour! Plus, they taste just like traditional chocolate chip muffins, but they’re actually healthier than most store-bought versions. They also happen to be free of any gluten or dairy ingredients, so they’re great if you have any allergies! Let’s get started on making some delicious healthy chocolate chip muffins.


1 1⁄2 cups of flour, 2 teaspoons of baking powder, 1 cup of oats, 1 tsp cinnamon and a pinch of salt. Add 3⁄4 cups of sugar and mix it in. Then add 2/3 cup vegetable oil, 1⁄2 cup milk and an egg. Mix everything thoroughly. Finally add 6 oz/170 g dark chocolate chips or raisins or walnuts if you prefer! Cook it at 400 degrees for 20-25 minutes until golden brown on top. You can put some melted butter on top when it’s done to make them even tastier! This will give you 12 healthy chocolate chip muffins.


Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease 12 standard-size muffin cups or line with paper liners; set aside. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredients; stir in water and oil just until moistened (batter will be lumpy). Gently fold in chocolate chips and walnuts. Divide batter evenly among prepared cups, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake for 15–20 minutes or until tops spring back when lightly touched and toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Transfer to wire racks to cool for 5 minutes before removing from pans to wire racks to cool completely. Let cool for 10 minutes before topping with cream cheese frosting (recipe follows). Garnish as desired; serve warm or at room temperature, cut into wedges.
